Introduction to the Holy Year
Fr Chris Lough, Jubilee Coordinator for the Diocese of Salford, has kindly offered to lead a presentation of the themes of this Holy Year for parish or other groups who might be interested. The themes explored would be "Jubilee", "Pilgrimage", and "Hope", with opportunity to discuss how these might be implemented at a local level.
He would also like to offer a presentation on the Gospel according to Luke (and the Acts of the Apostles) for this 'Year of Luke.' Both presentations and discussions would last 60 to 90 minutes.
If you are interested, you can contact Fr Chris at [email protected] or 07905 008843.
Could you help?
Cardinal Langley Catholic High School in Middleton is looking for a large Nativity scene for next Christmas. If you know of a spare set that could kindly be donated, please contact the school chaplain, Sr Maryjohn, by emailing [email protected]. Thank you.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
This year, we celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity between 18th and 25th January. The theme this year is "Do you believe this?", based on Martha's confession of faith in Jesus, as told in John 11:17-27.
For prayers and resources to help you celebrate this week, please visit https://ctbi.org.uk/week-of-prayer-for-christian-unity-2025/
Jubilee Resources
Following the positive feedback from parishes regarding Jubilee resources, we have produced a poster for you to display in your churches to help parishioners access our resources - including the Jubilee booklet - online. We have created two options for you to choose from, which can be accessed via the links below.
A number of parishes have also been in touch to request more copies of the Jubilee Booklet, so we are considering an additional print run. If you would like more copies for your parish, please email us at [email protected] with an estimate of how many copies you would like. Thank you.
